The Rio Rancho Lacrosse Organization was founded in 2010, when it was approved as a 501c3 non-profit organization with the mission statement "We envision a future that offers the youth in Rio Rancho, Bernalillo and ABQ Westside the opportunity to discover, learn, participate, enjoy and ultimately embrace the shared passion of the Lacrosse experience."
Currently, Rio Rancho Lacrosse supports both boys high school and youth teams with hopes of revitalizing our girls high school and youth teams. Youth from all the neighboring schools make up our teams and there is a board of directors to support the success of the organization.
The organization is teaching the fundamentals and spirit of the great sport of lacrosse in a fun and sportsmanlike way.
Our goal is to grow lacrosse throughout New Mexico to a point that it will become an NMAA sanctioned sport like soccer, football or baseball.
At this time, lacrosse is not an NMAA sport, so our club is tasked with supplying everything needed to play the game. Club members usually provide their own personal equipment, but when a player is in need the club will step up and provide for the players as well.
